I MC’d the August 2023 Open Source London meetup, which Scott Logic ran with FINOS, and chaired its panel on the pros and cons of open source AI, and its impact. The panellists were Prash Bhandari (Principal Lead for Data and AI, Microsoft) and Sherin Mathew (CEO, AI Tech UK), and NatWest hosted the evening at its Bishopsgate offices.
I also introduced Scott Logic developer Gokberk Kocak’s talk on building real-world applications with GPT, including examples from Scott Logic’s own R&D projects that use generative AI and open source components.
I went on to chair the panel at the January 2024 meetup, hosted by LSEG.
